| CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY |
He is the youngest of three children born to Andrea Grey, a small town girl, and Lonnie Kincaid, the con artist she had a teenage crush on. His parents broke up when he was a baby. When he was about 8 (his brother Jorden was 11 and his sister Lea was 10) all three siblings went to live with their father. Phelan doesn't know if his mother asked Lonnie to come get them, or if Lonnie wanted to take a turn at parenting. In either case, the children ended up living with Oscar Brand, their father's partner in crime (and other things) while Lonnie endeavored to keep his life with Oscar and his oldest three children as separate as possible from his life with his new wife and two small sons. Eventually Oscar betrayed Lonnie, participating in a sting operation and turning state's evidence against him. With their father in jail the three siblings ended up in foster care. Lea was outwardly studious and serene, but the brothers got into trouble. Jorden liked to fight and party, and Phelan was usually a few steps behind him, ready to do whatever his big brother needed. Jorden was protective of his brother and Phelan never got charged with much, but Children's Services decided that it would be best to separate the boys to keep Phaelan away from his influence. After a few tries with other foster families Phelan was placed with retired Colonel Tyler Olsen. Jordan is in a group home, and Lea is going to a private boarding school on scholarship. Currently Phelan is living with Tyler Olsen, and has just recently moved to Middle Area. |
